CURT DAVIS INVITATIONAL MUSTACHE GROWING CONTEST OF PADDLE SPORTS - tons of prizes!

History: Back in aught-3, two self proclaimed champions of highly moronic behavior, one Curt Davis and one Joseph Hall, both fully bearded at the time, challenged one another to shave their beards into a mustache. The goal was to see who could go the longest looking like a goon without shaving the stache. But first they just had to just shave the beard, step one. Joey did so and showed up at a social event with his painfully embarrassing, light red haired mustache (Joey's normal hair is brown, so the stache looks really weird). Joey's stache was a huge hit with their dinner crowd and Curt, who was present, but still no stache, full beard only, was given an ultimatum: Mustache by tomorrow or Joey wins. Unbeknownst to Joey, Curt shaved his beard and stache the next morning. Meanwhile, Joey is volunteering at an elementary school, on parent's day mind you. The teacher, his friend Charlotte, decides that it is best for Joey to meet all the parents face to face. Joey tries covering his awful lip hair with his arm but sees "their faces turning ghostly with disgust." If that wasn't enough, Curt calls joey after work that day and says, "Oh, by the way, I shaved my face clean this morning....you won." Though he had been hoodwinked by Mr Curt Davis, Joey immediately crowned himself "Mustache King" and demanded Curt email all their friends, detailing he'd conceeded in the contest and that Joey was infact the king. This photo was taken at the time of Joey's victory.

Thus, this contest is affectionately named after Curt Davis to perhaps flush him from his hiding place where he has no moustache and drive him to grow the most amazing lip hiar known to man.

**With this story in mind, the idea of the mustache growing contest is not to simply see who can grow lip hair the fastest or longest. It's more about who is willing to bear the most humiliation in front of friends, family (inlaws, ouch!), business associates, heck, even strangers. Who can really take you seriously with a mustache? Just look at that stupid picture of Joey and tell me that you could trust him with that mane of hair on his upper soup cooler.
